A bogie hearth furnace is a special type of industrial furnace characterized by its particularly user-friendly loading system, which utilizes a bogie. The bogie allows workpieces to be driven into the furnace at ground level – usually on rails that lead directly into the combustion chamber. This design offers significant advantages when handling large, heavy, or delicate components, as manual repositioning is eliminated. Simultaneously, the defined positioning on the bogie ensures a particularly uniform heat distribution during the thermal process.

Versatile designs for different temperature ranges

The bogie hearth furnace shown on the right is also designed as a lifting door furnace and a convection furnace. This design allows for precise temperature control and efficient heat distribution throughout the entire working space. With an operating temperature of up to 650 °C, this industrial furnace is ideally suited for thermal processes requiring constant temperatures – such as heat treatment, drying, or stress relief of metallic materials.

Besides this design, other variants are also available: for example, bogie hearth furnaces with hinged doors that operate in temperature ranges from 150 °C to 400 °C. These are frequently used for specific processes in the plastics, ceramics, or glass industries.

Individual customization for maximum process reliability

All bogie hearth furnaces and industrial furnaces are manufactured individually according to customer specifications. This takes into account thermal requirements, structural conditions, and product-specific criteria.
